Innovation

Visions need a stable foundation

Innovation is the engine of progress and economic growth - not only for companies but also for society. This is one reason why public funding primarily flows into the realisation of new technologies and visionary ideas.

From the development of new products to the optimisation of technical processes - we will find the right funding programmes to implement your plans. Precisely tailored to the requirements of the most attractive funding instruments in Germany and the EU.

Tailwind for your competitive position.

Projects for the construction or modernisation of infrastructure measures are highly attractive for municipalities and regions – after all, they promise positive effects such as economic growth, relocation, new jobs and much more. The funding programmes for infrastructure and site development are correspondingly diverse and attractive - throughout Europe.

The sheer number of programmes makes it difficult for companies and local authorities to select the best and most suitable options. In addition, funding in this area is highly competitive and the entry requirements are strict. It is therefore important to convince decision-makers of the benefits of a project in the long run.

This is precisely one of The Funding Team's great strengths: the development of funding strategies that are precisely tailored to the specific requirements of the most attractive funding programmes – throughout Europe.

Sustainability

Rethinking means staying fit for the future

There is a broad political consensus in Europe that the climate crisis cannot be overcome without massive investment in sustainability. And not without a broad commitment from the public sector. Accordingly, the number of funding programmes is growing to enable companies and local authorities to make often expensive investments in energy-efficient measures and environmental and climate protection.

It is in the nature of things that complex technical requirements have to be met and proven, especially when awarding funding in the environmental sector.

The Funding Team made the topic of sustainability a focal point of its funding advice years ago. We use our in-depth expertise to advise our clients on how sustainable corporate goals can be financed with the help of suitable funding instruments - profitably for the company and the future of our planet.

Who is supported?

SMES

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the economy. At The Funding Team, we recognise the particular challenges that SMEs face when it comes to funding their projects. We offer specialised advice and support in obtaining funding specifically tailored to SMEs - from expanding operational capacity to entering new markets.

Corporate Groups

Corporations around the world are under pressure from the rapidly changing global economy. Maintaining and expanding their competitiveness is a primary goal. Funding plays an important role in this. The Funding Team supports companies in finding and applying for funding for their future-oriented projects at locations in Germany, the EU and throughout Europe.

Municipalities

Local authorities have a responsibility to create optimal conditions for the economic development of their region. Subsidies are one of the key sources of funding for improving the quality of life and the economy. Our funding experts have many years of experience with the structures and requirements of public institutions. We use this knowledge to maximise the opportunities for local authorities when it comes to the allocation of funding.

Chemicals group - site expansion (competitiveness)

Task
The Funding Team investigated public funding opportunities in Germany and Europe for the expansion of four European sites of an internationally renowned chemical company.
Approach
The chances of success in obtaining funding were assessed on the basis of benchmarking with competitors. In addition, the regulatory requirements at the locations were analysed and evaluated. The results of the study were used to derive detailed guidelines on how the company may make greater use of funding instruments to realise its projects in the areas of innovation, infrastructure and growth in future.
Success
The funding analysis prepared by The Funding Team was incorporated into management decisions on which locations should be prioritised, together with a structured funding pipeline.

Logistics hub – transport and mobility

Task
New logistics hub in Ireland. A long-standing freight port was to be modernised and expanded into an intermodal logistics hub with significantly higher capacities. Subsidies were an option for financing this masterplan.
Procedure
The project, which is of international importance for European goods transport, was supported from the outset by our public affairs partner, who was able to explain the details of the project to policy and business decision-makers in one-to-one meetings. Thanks to this representation of interests, the way was clear for a broadly diversified funding strategy. With the support of the funding experts from The Funding Team, EU funding was applied for - and approved - for a total of four different projects.
Success
The European funding made a decisive contribution to the realisation of the master plan for the logistics site.

Energy and transport infrastructure

Task
The establishment of a nationwide charging infrastructure is one of the most important prerequisites for the implementation of e-mobility in Europe. The Funding Team has been supporting companies in driving forward their projects with the help of public funding instruments since 2013.
Procedure
Hundreds of funding programmes are available across Europe for renewable energy projects. The Funding Team identified suitable programmes for energy companies and created a funding ranking following a detailed project analysis. In order to optimise the funding opportunities, The Funding Team fine-tuned the applications in advance and supported the companies until the funding was successfully awarded.
Success
Approval of funding for numerous e-infrastructure projects in various EU Member States, such as for the municipal authorities in Rotterdam.
